It's been awhile...

I've got a 12 page paper to write for International Finance due Tuesday which I have not started, but I felt writing a post would be more satisfying than starting the paper. Who assigns a 12 page paper for the end of Senior year though. Where are we supposed to find the motivation? Anyways, I haven't posted in a long time, and I'm absolutely certain it didn't bother anyone, haha. Maybe Aakash because this blog is on his Google reader feed. If you haven't heard, I'm going to Peru for Peace Corps. Leaving on June 4 for staging in Miami, then off to Peru on the 6th. It's pretty crazy to think that it's actually happening in 38 days (yes i do have a countdown). I will be doing small business development and yes Peace Corps volunteers do actually do that kind of stuff.

I've already been going through some varying emotions. Most of the time I'm rather excited about the prospect of living in Peru for 2 years. Other times it's depressing to think I'll be away from the familiarity of friends, family and the U.S. for that long. However, I really look upon this as an adventure, and I really like adventures haha. I'm glad I know where I'm going now though. People used to ask me where I was going for PC and I would respond, "Well, I know I'm going to Latin America, just don't know the country." I'm sure most thought I was full of it. Who has a job and doesn't actually know where they are going yet. Welcome to the wonder of the Peace Corps. Now I have started fielding the next imminent question...Where will you be in Peru? Nope, don't know that one either. Won't find out until probably August.

This blog post is kinda just something I'm doing because I'm awake and not tired. So, to make it a little more interesting. I'm going to do a top 10 list. Taking a page from High Fidelity which is an awesome book by the way. I guess we will make it a PC related top 10 list. Ok so...
